Improving Public Lighting in Romania A Case Study: 1 Decembrie Boulevard, Deva Town

Abstract
As part of the ?Energy Efficiency 2000? projects, there were established some ?Energy Efficiency Demonstrative Zones?, which are to be studied. In Romania, the zone of Deva town has been chosen, among the analyzed elements being the public lighting. The paper presents : an outlook of the public lighting in Romanian town, an analysis of the Deva town public lighting system and some solutions for improving energy efficiency in the Deva town public lighting system.
