IAEEL newsletter 3-4/97
Efficiency in commercial buildings A cross-disciplinary conference on electricity use in commercial buildings will be arranged in the Netherlands in September 1998 by Novem and the European Commission. The conference is the second of two follow-up events of an office equipment and ³brown-goods² conference held in Stockholm in 1996. The first follow-up, on electricity use in residential appliances, was held in Florence, Italy, in October 1997. Since electricity use in commercial buildings is determined by a multitude of factors, the organizers saw fit to apply a holistic approach, where factors such as office equipment, elevator motors, lighting, and HVAC will be highlighted. The conference will deal with both technical and implementation aspects of electricity use in commercial buildings. In connection with the conference, there will be a workshop on monitoring loads in commercial buildings.
The conference is supported by a number of organizations, including government agencies, insurance companies, electric utilities, research establishments, and office equipment manufacturers.
Currently updated conference information available under "Meetings and Events".
