International DSM data-base The International Energy Agency (IEA), with a group of its 23 OECD Member countries, has launched an "Implementing Agreement" on Technologies and Programs for Demand-Side Management. The DSM agreement is chaired by NUTEK, Sweden, which is also the host for the Annex on Technology Procurement. Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory (LBL) will be the Operating Agent for another annex: An International Data Base on Demand-Side Management Technologies and Programs (INDEEP). Initially, the data base will make available information on DSM programs being implemented by IEA countries, such as Austria, Denmark, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. However, those involved in INDEEP are very interested in expanding country participation by involving both developed and developing countries. INDEEP will focus on program descriptions and key summary data on program costs, participation rates, energy and demand savings, and evaluation methodologies. Practical information, such as program contacts, will also be included in the data base. In addition, summaries of pertinent data will be provided periodically to present lessons learned.
