Bolivian Streets
I work in Bolivia with a non-governmental organization and conduct projects in energy efficiency and renewable energy. Our energy efficiency activities are carried out in cooperation with the major electric utilities in the industrial and residential sectors. One complementary activity is training the regulatory body here (DINE) in efficiency analysis so that they can identify the available options, implement pilot projects, and evaluate the savings realized.One area with large potential savings is street lighting; thus we would like to look at the costs and benefits of the different strategies available with respect to new installations and retrofits of existing lamps.
I need information on the makers, efficiencies, and costs of the different street-lighting technologies available. Tips on where I could look for more information would be appreciated.
