ABSTRACT
This paper describes a demonstration project where a single 1000-watt electrodeless microwave sulphur lamp and a reflector-based distribution system is used to illuminate the entrance hall of the head office of the regional Sjælland electric utility NESA a/s, outside Copenhagen, Denmark. By using an advanced primary reflector around the lamp and a system of mirrors and reflectors at various levels in the five-storey hall, this single lamp could replace a number of lamps and luminaries that otherwise would have been needed to provide enough illumination for both plants and humans in the hall.
