Abstract
Expectations for the quality and efficiency of home lighting are increasing. Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) have been the dominant technology associated with energy-efficient residential lighting over the last decade, but these lamps are only one of many opportunities for home lighting. Other light sources, new luminaires and controls, and better design applications of CFLs and other technologies promise to support even greater achievements in home lighting in the future.
